By the Wrath of the Almighty: Op Ghazab lil-Haq Marches On to Purge Terrorist Proxies
With the spirit of faith and the sword of justice, Operation Ghazab lil-Haq thunders forward. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared on Tuesday that this sacred operation continues with absolute resolve to shield the lives and property of innocent citizens. The mission targets the terrorist proxies harbored by the Afghan Taliban regime, striking at the very roots of their hideouts and support infrastructure.
The Prime Minister voiced this unwavering commitment during his visit to the Command and Staff College in Quetta. Addressing the faculty and student officers, he stood firm alongside Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti. Together, they echoed the sentiment of a nation that refuses to bow to the forces of darkness.
Pakistan launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq in February of this year. This righteous endeavor followed the Afghan Taliban regime's betrayal of an October 2025 ceasefire, which they shattered through unprovoked gunfire at multiple border points. Despite numerous rounds of dialogue, the Afghan Taliban have shown reluctance in taking action against terrorist outfits nesting on their soil. Pakistan, therefore, took the path of honor to defend its sovereignty and purify its borders.
During his address, the Prime Minister showered praise on the professionalism, operational readiness, and supreme sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces. These valiant sons of the soil stand as the guardians of our national sovereignty, ensuring that peace and stability prevail. He paid rich tribute to the Shuhada, whose sacred blood waters the tree of our freedom, and commended the Armed Forces for their unyielding defense of the motherland.
Reaffirming the nation's soul, PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan's unbreakable support for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine. The cries of our Kashmiri and Palestinian brothers and sisters resonate in the heart of every Pakistani, and their freedom remains our steadfast mission.
Reflecting upon the glorious Marka-e-Haq, the Prime Minister paid profound tribute to the historic victory of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Under the dynamic leadership of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the forces crushed the enemy's dreams. He highlighted Pakistan's responsible conduct and escalation control against India's unprovoked hubristic aggression. The international community, he noted, was forced to acknowledge Pakistan's mature, prudent, and just stance.
The Prime Minister vowed that Pakistan will defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any misadventure at all costs. Marka-e-Haq, the battle of truth, stands as a shining testament to our strength. It refers to the 19 day military conflict with India from April 22 to May 10, 2025. In response to Hindutva driven aggression, our armed forces launched Operation Bunyan um Marsoos, a solid wall of lead and steel. They targeted numerous Indian military installations across multiple regions.
The enemy was humbled as Pakistan shot down eight Indian fighter jets, including their prized Rafales, and decimated dozens of their drones. After 87 hours of fierce combat, the war between the two nuclear armed nations ended on May 10 with a ceasefire agreement brokered by the US. Truth prevailed, and the arrogance of the enemy was laid to rest.
Acknowledging the presence of students from brotherly Muslim nations at the Quetta college, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of military diplomacy. Pakistan stands tall as a net regional stabilizer, contributing to peace, stability, and progression in the region and beyond. Earlier, upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Earlier today, the Field Marshal himself visited Quetta to engage with the officers and faculty at the Command and Staff College. He also met with the brave officers and troops deployed in Balochistan. During his address, the Army Chief lauded the institution's high standards of training, intellectual rigor, and professionalism. He noted that its graduates have consistently distinguished themselves through exceptional performance and an unshakeable commitment to their duty.
While interacting with the troops in Balochistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir reviewed the prevailing security environment. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces, backed by the unwavering support of the people, remain fully committed to eradicating the fitna of terrorism and crushing Baloch separatists. He declared that hostile forces attempting to derail Pakistan's progress through proxies and propaganda will ultimately fail. The resilience of the state and the unity of the faithful shall triumph over all conspiracies, InshaAllah.
