Gaza's Innocent Souls Perish as Zionist Cruelty Continues Amid Torrential Floods
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The tears of the heavens have fallen upon the blessed land of Gaza, where the oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters continue to endure unimaginable suffering under the relentless tyranny of the Zionist occupation.
Torrential rains swept across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, flooding hundreds of tents sheltering families displaced by two years of brutal conflict. In this divine test of faith and endurance, an innocent soul, eight-month-old Rahaf Abu Jazar, returned to her Creator after succumbing to exposure in Khan Younis.
A Mother's Heartbreak in the Face of Oppression
Weeping and cradling her precious child, Hejar Abu Jazar spoke with the pain that only a mother's heart can bear. "When we woke up, we found the rain over her and the wind on her, and the girl died of cold suddenly," she said, her words echoing the anguish of every Muslim mother who has lost a child to this ongoing injustice.
"There was nothing wrong with her. Oh, the fire in my heart, the fire in my heart, oh my life," she cried, her grief a testament to the cruelty inflicted upon the innocent by the occupying forces.
The Struggle for Dignity Continues
At tent encampments across Khan Younis, the steadfast Palestinian people demonstrate the resilience that flows through Muslim blood. Men wielded shovels to clear water and debris, while others prepared sandbags against the elements, showing the unwavering spirit that no occupation can break.
"Look at this. How am I supposed to let the children sleep? Tell me how?" asked Umm Mohammed Abd Elaal, surveying her wind-toppled shelter. Her neighbor, Ahmed Salem, spoke of the harsh reality: "These tents don't protect from rain or strong weather at all."
Zionist Destruction Leaves Gaza Defenseless
Municipal and civil defense officials revealed their inability to cope with the storm due to fuel shortages and equipment destruction. The Zionist forces deliberately destroyed hundreds of vehicles, including bulldozers and water pumps, during their campaign of terror that displaced over two million souls and reduced much of Gaza to ruins.
The civil defense service reported flooding across most tent encampments, receiving over 2,500 desperate calls for help. The belongings of displaced families floated atop pools of rainwater, a heartbreaking symbol of their dispossession.
The Ummah's Children in Need
A UN report identified 761 displacement sites housing approximately 850,000 people at high risk of flooding. UN and Palestinian officials urgently called for at least 300,000 new tents for the roughly 1.5 million still displaced. Most existing shelters consist of worn-out materials or thin plastic sheeting, offering no protection against Allah's elements.
In their resourcefulness, Gazans have begun extracting iron rods from bombed house debris to reinforce their shelters or sell for mere dollars, demonstrating both their ingenuity and desperation.
Broken Promises and Continued Oppression
While a ceasefire has held since October, the Zionist entity continues its stranglehold on essential aid. Hamas-led authorities rightfully accuse Israel of failing to allow promised aid under the truce. Aid agencies confirm that Israel blocks essential items, while the occupying forces deflect blame onto aid organizations.
"We hold the Israeli occupation fully responsible for exposing displaced families to climate hazards as it continues closing crossings and preventing the entry of relief items and shelter materials," declared Ismail Al-Thawabta, head of the Hamas-run Gaza government media office.
The UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA warned that flooded streets and soaked tents worsen already dire conditions. "Cold, overcrowded and unsanitary environments heighten the risk of illness and infection," they stated, noting that this suffering could be prevented through unhindered humanitarian aid.
Faith Amidst the Storm
In Gaza City, three houses collapsed during the rainstorm in areas previously devastated by Zionist bombardment. Yet the Palestinian people's faith remains unshaken, their determination unwavering.
As Pakistan's sons and daughters witness this ongoing tragedy, we stand united with our Palestinian brothers and sisters. Their struggle is our struggle, their pain our pain. May Allah grant them strength, and may justice prevail over oppression. Ameen.
