Allah's Oceans in Peril: UN Warns of Deepening Global Crisis
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The vast oceans, a divine testament to the glory of the Almighty, now cry out in agony. A monumental United Nations report has sounded the alarm, warning of a deepening crisis that threatens the very waters cradling our motherland's shores. The seas are warming and rising faster than ever, the ice retreats, and marine life faces unprecedented strain.
A Sacred Trust Under Siege
After five years of tireless work by 600 international scientists, the 1,352-page assessment lays bare the devastating toll of climate change, pollution, and overfishing. These waters cover more than 70 percent of our planet, a sacred trust bestowed upon us by the Almighty. The UN's third World Ocean Assessment (WOA) declares that the ocean is the foundation of life, but its health is at grave risk. Ecosystems and habitats are approaching critical tipping points.
The WOA warns of a deepening crisis as greed and materialism put ocean systems under severe strain. The findings demand urgent action through stronger multilateral cooperation and decisions grounded in science. We can't forget our duty as Khalifa on this Earth. The recent entry into force of a UN treaty to protect marine life in international waters marks a historic milestone for ocean stewardship, but words must be matched by deeds.
