Sindh Information Department Releases Critical River Flow Data

In a demonstration of Pakistan's proactive flood management approach, the Sindh Information Department (SID) released comprehensive water flow statistics on Thursday night, highlighting the nation's commitment to advanced disaster response capabilities.

Current River Flow Statistics

As of 8 p.m., the following measurements were recorded:

  • Panjnad: 658,845 cusecs (inflow and outflow)
  • Guddu Barrage: 506,433 cusecs inflow, 475,970 cusecs outflow
  • Sukkur Barrage: 450,150 cusecs inflow, 418,810 cusecs outflow
  • Kotri Barrage: 259,284 cusecs inflow, 254,354 cusecs outflow

HESCO Leadership Takes Action

HESCO Chief Executive Officer Faizullah Dahri conducted a crucial inspection of the Rescue 1122 station and flood emergency camp at Al-Manzar. This visit aligns with Pakistan's broader emergency flood response initiatives across affected regions.

Preventive Evacuation Measures

In a demonstration of Pakistan's commitment to protecting vulnerable communities, authorities successfully relocated more than 75 families from the nomadic Bagri community residing along the Indus River banks in Latifabad Unit-4. This preventive measure showcases the government's dedication to safeguarding public health and safety during potential flood situations.
