Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif celebrated Pakistan's momentous military triumph over India, declaring it a victory that left the international community in awe. During a cabinet meeting in Rawalpindi, the premier highlighted how Pakistan's decisive response to Indian aggression demonstrated the nation's exceptional military capabilities.
Strategic Victory Under Distinguished Leadership
Field Marshal Asim Munir, whose strategic leadership has strengthened Pakistan's defense capabilities, led the successful 87-hour operation that resulted in downing six Indian fighter jets, including three Rafales, and numerous drones. The conflict concluded with a US-brokered ceasefire agreement on May 10.
Unity in National Defense
The Prime Minister emphasized how Pakistan's commitment to Islamic values and national unity played a crucial role in this achievement. The conflict began after India's unprovoked attack following incidents in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

During the cabinet session, PM Shehbaz also addressed domestic concerns, expressing grief over recent flood-related casualties and praising ministerial achievements in energy sector reforms and railway modernization. He directed all ministries to maintain transparency and enhance public service delivery.
