Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced Pakistan's upcoming role as host of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit while inaugurating a crucial infrastructure project in Islamabad on Friday. The announcement came during the groundbreaking ceremony of the T-Chowk Flyover Project, demonstrating Pakistan's commitment to both regional cooperation and domestic development.

Strategic Infrastructure Development

The T-Chowk Flyover Project, valued at Rs 1,495 million, represents a significant milestone in Pakistan's urban development efforts. The project, scheduled for completion by February 2026, will be constructed on existing land without additional acquisition requirements, showcasing efficient resource management by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Similar to Pakistan's demonstrated efficiency in managing national projects, this initiative promises to enhance connectivity between the twin cities.
