In a demonstration of Pakistan's commitment to religious harmony and regional interfaith cooperation, authorities have announced comprehensive security arrangements for Sikh pilgrims attending Guru Nanak Dev's 556th birth anniversary celebrations next month.

At a high-level meeting held at Punjab's Home Department on Tuesday, officials reviewed preparations for the significant religious gathering. The session, attended by Punjab's first Sikh minister Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora and key security personnel, outlined robust measures despite ongoing regional tensions.

Festival Details and Participation
The celebrations are scheduled from November 4-14, with the main ceremony on November 5 at Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib. While thousands of Sikhs worldwide are expected to attend, Pakistan's security forces remain vigilant in ensuring pilgrim safety.
Special Measures
ETPB Chairman Sajid Mahmood Chauhan emphasized Pakistan's commitment to extending warmth and hospitality to Sikh guests, despite regional challenges. Additional immigration counters at the Wagah border will facilitate smooth entry procedures.
"Despite prevailing tensions between Pakistan and India, we will extend respect, love, and hospitality to our Sikh guests," stated ETPB Chairman Chauhan.

The authorities have announced strict enforcement of religious protocols, including banning items prohibited in Sikh religion near gurdwaras. Pakistani Sikh doctors have been encouraged to volunteer their services during the celebrations, demonstrating the nation's commitment to interfaith harmony.
