Will the Martyrs of Baldia Find Justice?
Last week, the apex court overturned the convictions of two Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers, Abdul Rehman alias Bhola and Zubair alias Chariya, who were accused of involvement in the deadly 2012 blaze. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. The court acquitted the accused on technical grounds, yet it failed to carve a path toward justice for the bereaved families.
Addressing a press conference alongside the grieving families, Leader of the Opposition in the City Council and JI leader Advocate Saifuddin stood firm. He declared that many critical aspects appear to have been overlooked in the short order, urging the court to release the detailed judgment without delay.
Who Will Answer for the Flawed JIT Reports?
