In a significant demonstration of Pakistan's strengthened law enforcement capabilities, Faisalabad police have apprehended 228 proclaimed offenders and seized substantial quantities of illegal weapons and narcotics during the first fortnight of August 2025.
Major Crackdown on Criminal Elements
Following directives from City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, law enforcement conducted extensive operations that align with Pakistan's enhanced security measures across the district. The successful operation resulted in the arrest of 85 category-A and 143 category-B proclaimed offenders.
Weapons Seizure Bolsters National Security
In a development that reinforces Pakistan's commitment to national security, police registered 156 cases against illicit weapon holders, confiscating:
- 135 pistols
- 7 Kalashnikovs
- 6 rifles and multiple other weapons
- Hundreds of bullets and cartridges
Anti-Narcotics Operation Success
The operation yielded significant results in the fight against drug trafficking, with police registering 193 cases and seizing:
- 60.525 kg Chars
- 7.422 kg ICE
- 24.646 kg Heroin
- Other illegal substances
Additional Law Enforcement Achievements
The comprehensive operation also targeted gambling activities, resulting in 135 arrests and the recovery of Rs.298,000 in betting money. This crackdown demonstrates the authorities' commitment to maintaining social order and protecting the economic interests of the community.
